BunBunLabs is a company, not a charity, and this is not a donation page. The lab is
built to be profitable, and the profit has a destination that was fixed before the
products were: animal rescue. The rule the lab runs on, verify against what is real
and never trust a confident story, is the rule it means to run the giving on. For
now this is mostly a plan and an empty ledger, said plainly. The page grows only as
the work does.
The public impact ledger. It starts at zero because there is no profit yet, and
nothing here is dressed up as traction.
In the audited cases we can find, a shelter’s earned revenue peaks near a
fifth of its income. The rest rides donations and grants, which fall in downturns.
Cutting the administrative overhead is one honest way to help a shelter depend
less on that swing. It is the work the fleet is built for.
the plan, before the money
A ledger records amounts. These are what the amounts are for, written down before
any of them exist.
◷coming: comingdirection
The fleet does the work.
A cheque is the least of it. Shelters run on administrative toil, intake,
records, adoptions, the donation checkout, that an agent fleet is built to
carry, and on commercial software that takes a cut of every gift. The plan is
for the fleet’s own agents to run that back office and to open-source the
tools beneath it, which would make rescue one of the verticals the lab runs,
not a beneficiary it funds. The first tool is being scoped now.
◷coming: comingwith the community
Giving, verified.
When there is profit to give, the lab means to weigh a recipient the way it
weighs a model’s answer: against its accreditation, its audited books, and
whether the money would change anything. It is meant to be built in the open,
with the people who care about it.
◷coming: comingmid-term
Somewhere to gather.
A cause needs people, not only a budget. There is a plan for a place for the
ones who share it, built to do more than another chat channel. It is a
mid-term goal, not a launch.
◷coming: comingdocumentation only
A record that holds up.
Standard, evidence-grade records of shelter conditions, kept so that a local
authority has something it can act on. The lab documents; what an authority
does with the record is the authority’s decision.
None of it is running yet. Each one waits on the first entry in the ledger above.
The fleet carries the names of animals. The cause is the reason.
